The Australian Lot Feeders’ Association (ALFA) is delighted to invite you to attend the grain fed beef industry’s premier technical event, SmartBeef23.
This year’s event will be based out of the Country Music Capital of Tamworth, New South Wales this October 11-12, and will be held on site at Elders Killara Feedlot, showcasing the latest in feedlot research and development.
We wear so many hats at work, and are always busy working in all corners of the feedlot to make sure everything runs smoothly, day in and day out. SmartBeef23 will be the perfect chance to take your hats off, let your hair down and come together to celebrate everything that is amazing about our industry.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Kicking off the event, the SmartBeef23 Industry Dinner will be held on October 11 at TRECC in Tamworth and will host the presentation of the prestigious ALFA Young Lot Feeder of the Year Award, proudly sponsored by Performance Feeds.
The following day will feature a full day on site, hosted at Elders Killara Feedlot. The day will have a technically-focused program that will demonstrate the latest in research and development, giving delegates some great opportunities to touch and feel new technologies and also learn the latest in best practice.
The program is set to include a number of well-known industry experts that will provide unparalleled access for delegates to hear direct from the researcher, nutritionist, veterinarian or tech specialist on a variety of technically focused topics.
After a big day of learning, the day will conclude at the Elders Killara Campdraft Arena, where feedlot teams will go head-to-head for charity in the inaugural SmartBeef23 Campdraft Competition. And for those ready to keep the party going, make sure to catch the supplied event coaches back into town for the official SmartBeef23 After Party.
