The access fee is per feedlot/business, and covers all staff that wish to partake in the training session.

Post registration, you will receive a zoom link to save to your calendar and access the training. Those who attend and participate in the session will have their Feedlot TECH training transcript updated automatically. This module covers the basics in best practice stock handling techniques in a feedlot environment. Good Stockmanship covers low-stress handling techniques, which will positively influence an animal’s experience at a feedlot. By using good stockmanship techniques and understanding cattle behaviour, you can improve animal welfare outcomes and provide a safe environment for both people and cattle. After completion of the online training, an on the ground competency assessment is available via Feedlot TECH so staff can demonstrate thier skills and competency in this area. Identify indicators of cattle stress
Recognise visual limitations, predator-prey relationships and natural instincts of cattle
Improve cattle handling behaviours
Develop a working relationship with cattle

Follow steps to reduce exposure to health and safety risks
Apply effective handling techniques to move cattle
