Unlock your leadership potential in the feedlot industry
Are you a leading hand or a rising talent at your feedlot? Do you play a crucial role in overseeing tasks that require strong communication, team coordination, and the ability to foster a positive team culture?
The ALFA Emerging Leaders Program is a professional development program that will help you build on your leadership skills and take your career up a notch.
Program Overview
Borne out of an idea pitched by a previous ALFA Young Lot Feeder of the Year Award winner on providing ground level staff with opportunities to develop their leadership skills, the ALFA Emerging Leaders Program is designed to fill the gap in training for entry to mid-level feedlot employees, providing soft skills in leadership to prime participants for the next stage of their career.
The 3-day program is an empowering experience that will elevate your leadership capabilities and connect you with fellow lot feeder professionals dedicated to excellence in the feedlot industry. The ALFA Emerging Leaders Program focuses on developing essential soft skills crucial for everyday operations, with the takeaway benefits of:
Enhanced Leadership Skills: Improved leadership capabilities leading to greater operational efficiency.
Strengthened Team Dynamics: Team coordination techniques to encourage stronger collaboration, fostering a positive team culture.
Practical Problem-Solving: Practical sessions providing effective solutions for challenges unique to the feedlot industry.
Communication Skills: Enhancing verbal and non-verbal communication for improved workplace interactions.
Networking Opportunities: Build lasting connections with industry peers across the country.
The program is tailored to ensure topics are relevant to feedlot employees so that participants can leave with practical knowledge and skills they can directly apply to their day-to-day roles.
